Slow Feed Replacement Net Kit

Replacement Net

CAD $69.00CAD $189.00

The standard 1.6″ OptiNet works well with the majority of horses. If you are ready to replace a net, we are happy to offer some choices.

Type of Net: If you have a horse that is particularly hard on nets, you may wish to choose a “shark net,” which is what we’re calling the UltraNet. We’ve been testing this net since 2021 with horses that prematurely put holes in the OptiNet. We have been very impressed with its durability. UltraNet is made from ultra high weight polyethylene and is 15 times stronger than steel. We were skeptical at first because the net is thin and feels like plastic. In use, it softens up and feels like cotton. It also shrinks when it’s in use, so we quote the net size as 1.75″->1.25″ in areas of high use. Check out the photos above, and if you have a horse that puts holes in nets, consider the UltraNet.

If you would prefer a different sized OptiNet to meet the anatomical, dietary, and/or behavioural requirements of your herd, please select either the large (2.5″) or small (1.25″) options. All 3 sizes use the proven durable and gentle OptiNet.

What Our Customers Say

So nice, we bought it twice! The Optimizer slow feeder.  With the money that we saved on our first purchase, we purchased a second feeder a year later, we monitored the wasted hay from ground feeding, hay huts and the Optimizer. Hands down the Optimizer saved us money compared to the other two hay feed methods.

If you are looking for a safe and reliable hay feeding solution, that will save you money, the Optimizer is the one for you.

The health of my horse has improved, which has made me so happy laughing!!!

My horse is a 17 year old, off-the-track thoroughbred who lives outside all year. She's a hard keeper, but by getting her the right amount of hay, whenever she wanted it, it was the first winter she didn't need an extra blanket.

Absolute game changer for my very messy Clydesdale. Zero waste, quick filling, and best of all slow feeding all night long.

- Taylor S

I've always had slow feed bags. I needed five or six a day to feed three horses. Last winter with the OptiMizer I could slow feed two bales in one place. This saved me a ton of time not hvaing to refill bags everday, plus I noticed it was way cleaner in the spring.
